I have kind of a mixed feeling about this restaurant. On the one hand the service was great, the ambiance is very cozy, and there is definitely a lot of interesting choices to eat. On the other hand we felt pressured to take more than we actually wanted, the fries were wayyyyyy too salty and the greetings upon arrival from the owner were a bit creepy. I guess it is an interesting place if you want to feel "in" and you like original choices. It is not that great a quality of food to price ratio though.

Awesome staff really cool ambiance. I'm pretty picky with food but I must admin, their salmon gravelax with sarasin crepe is out of this world.I was extrenely pleased with the quality of their food. Amazing chef!

I was sure that Google maps made me drave to a wrong place; and I was sure my friend gave me wrong address! I can never have thought there is such a fun place in this totally not commercial neighborhood.The Chef is amazing!! The food is amazing!!!! I usually don't like to order food from menu and just ask Chef to be creative and impressed me. I was impressed alright!! Just see the pictures, no joke!! Please go and have fun!! It is not just a burger place! It is a 5 stars fun restaurant and I will definitely go again!!

INCREDIBLE food, beer, and service! Our server was very helpful and translated the menu for us and answered our questions. We had the calamari, roasted leek, and the squid-wrapped lamb sausage, and every one of them was heavenly! Fresh, local ingredients combined in very creative ways! I'd recommend getting there early, it filled up pretty quickly while we were there. We loved it so much, we're considering going back tomorrow!

Was once one of the best little restaurant secrets in Montreal, not so secret anymore but still has fantatistic, original and fairly priced food with a little something for everyone. Great fritters when they have them. Friendly, unpretentious staff, tough to find parking though.

Very friendly service in a pocket sized restaurant. I was a bit disappointed by the food though: presentation was nicely attended to, a tad too much actually, but tastes and textures were borderline MIA. The chowder had clams lost in a bowl of thin liquid: a miss IMO. The cheesecake was not too interesting despite promises of reinterpretation of a classic. And I honestly cannot remember what I had for main. You can do better MileEx!

very friendly staff. chef-owner has great sense of humor and engages customers which creates a very warm atmosphere. food was very creative and tasted great: had some crabcakes, calamari and a creme brulee for dessert. the hazelnut hummus was out of this world. a hidden gem in mile-ex, highly recommended!

this is a review of their ice cream counter available during summer. still need to stop by for a proper meal. so here is the review about crèmerie spoum from le mile-ex:hidden artisanal ice cream counter by le mile-ex serving only ice cream. it is located a very short walk away from dispatch coffee in the heart of what is known as mile-ex.when i went, they had a couple of flavors like the very good pistachio to the strawberry sorbet (was ok) to a melon & rosemary sorbet which sounded lovely.all in all, hidden gem in mile-ex that has very interesting ice cream and price wise, its pretty in line with everything out there.

My wife and I were visiting from Boston and we happened to pick this place because it was close to our apartment. IT WAS THE BEST MEAL I’VE EVER HAD!!!! I am not exaggerating when I say this either. It made me feel as if it was the first real food I’d ever eaten and all my previous meals were cardboard. If I could rate this 100 stars I would. Absolutely amazing!!

Good neighbourhood resto with very limited seating yet amazing ambiance. The menu varies but their star dishes are always present. They don't take reservations so you have to get there early as they start running out of space quickly.

My affection to this neighborhood started with Mile-Ex. I remember my first experience over there and the multiple others. It’s small, raw and the experience is just unique. Their menu is always evolving, they brew their own blonde and their wine list (even short) is near perfection. The sitting doubles during summer with their in-front terrace. It’s been my kids favorite restaurant since the last 2 years and it’s not a kid restaurant at all!

A little bit expensive but really nice casual place. If you go there you should try their special burger whose name I will not mention because it name might hurt some people ears.

Fabulous food. We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all excellent. The grilled fish was a standout!

Unique! A Top Chef opens-up in an old snack-bar to cook and serve his creations. The decor is simple yet you feel you are a guest rather than a customer. But it’s all about the food, unpretentious and authentic, you taste the passion. No reservations possible, regardless a must try.

Happy I drove all the way here. I ordered the Motherf*cker Burger with one patty and it was very good. The Mile-Ex Blonde beer was delicious. In addition, price, ambiance, and service were all excellent. I’ll come back.

Fun and casual atmosphere with good food done very well. The staff were nice and very helpful. Hope they have the shrimp with caramelized fennel when I go back!

Wanna go back! Excellent menu and quality of food! The chef is a very cool guy, came to our table to explain the menu and he was so excited about his job, that we ended up enjoying his food with the same intensity as used to describe it!

Good food but it's really small!

Excellent food. Different from the ordinary, mixes it with a bit of fancy but for a good price. Good selection of local brews and sodas.will return soon!
